OIKOS Joins the viridiusLAB European Laboratory Network

OIKOS sp. z o.o. has joined viridiusLAB AG, a European network of independent, accredited testing laboratories from Austria, Germany, Italy, Czechia, Slovakia and Poland. The move brings OIKOS into a structured exchange with sister laboratories on measurement methods, proficiency testing, audit findings and cross-border client mandates.

What changes for our clients

Operationally, nothing on the Polish side changes. OIKOS remains the same legal entity, with the same team near Wrocław, the same accreditation (PCA AB 934 under PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 and PCA PT 010 under PN-EN ISO/IEC 17043), and the same contact paths.

What clients gain is access to a wider European competence pool:

  • Cross-laboratory method exchange. Where a customer asks for a method we do not run in our own scope, the network gives us a trusted partner to subcontract under documented quality controls.
  • Shared proficiency-testing schemes. As the only PCA-accredited PT organiser in Poland for workplace and environmental measurements (PT 010), OIKOS now participates in joint PT exercises with the viridiusLAB labs across borders — strengthening comparability of results.
  • Coordinated multi-country mandates. For clients operating sites in several EU countries, a single point of contact within the network can coordinate measurements where local accreditation is required.

About viridiusLAB

viridiusLAB AG was formed as a federation of mid-sized, independent laboratories committed to ISO/IEC 17025 quality systems and high-frequency proficiency-testing participation. Each member retains its own legal identity, accreditation scope and customer relationships, but contributes to and benefits from shared good-practice forums.

For OIKOS, joining the network is consistent with our long-term direction: deeper specialisation in workplace and environmental analytics, technical rigour, and active participation in the bodies that shape European laboratory practice.
