Water Testing

From drinking water to industrial process water — accredited physicochemical and biological analysis across all regulated water categories. The region's only laboratory with Wrocław State Sanitary Inspectorate (PPIS) approval.

Accredited Water Testing — All Regulated Categories

Water is one of the most tightly regulated environmental media. Water utilities and municipalities are required to carry out regular quality control of drinking water under the Minister of Health regulation. OIKOS performs accredited physicochemical and biological water testing across the full range of categories — and is the only laboratory in the region holding Wrocław State Sanitary Inspectorate (PPIS) approval for testing water intended for human consumption. Reports are issued under PCA accreditation No. AB 934 (PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025).

PPIS Wrocław Approval — Decision Nr 308/25

OIKOS is authorised by the State County Sanitary Inspector in Wrocław to test water intended for human consumption. Drinking-water reports issued by OIKOS are accepted by Polish regulators as proof of compliance with the Minister of Health regulation.

Why OIKOS for Water Testing

Five reasons our water testing stands out — including a regulatory endorsement that goes beyond accreditation:

From Drinking Water to Industrial Process Water

OIKOS performs accredited physicochemical and biological water testing across the full range of categories: drinking and tap water, well water, swimming pool and bathing area water, piezometer water, groundwater and deep groundwater, surface water, rainwater and meltwater, as well as industrial, process, boiler and cooling water.

Our laboratory holds approval from the Wrocław State County Sanitary Inspector (PPIS Wrocław) for testing water intended for human consumption — a regulatory endorsement that goes beyond accreditation alone, meaning your results are directly accepted by sanitary authorities.

OIKOS holds AB 934 accreditation (PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025) and PPIS Wrocław approval. Operating continuously since 1988, serving over 1,000 clients with two thirds returning on a recurring basis. Part of the European viridiusLAB AG network.

FAQ

Water Testing Questions

OIKOS holds approval from the Wrocław State County Sanitary Inspector (PPIS Wrocław) for testing water intended for human consumption, in accordance with the Minister of Health regulation. This is a regulatory endorsement of laboratory competence, meaning our test results are directly accepted by sanitary authorities.

The frequency of drinking water testing is set by regulation — for water utilities it depends on the volume supplied and the number of consumers served. For private water sources (e.g. workplace wells), intervals are determined by risk assessment or the conditions of the water law permit. Contact us — we will help establish the right schedule.

Standard drinking water analysis covers physicochemical parameters (including pH, hardness, turbidity, colour, conductivity, nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, iron, manganese, chlorine) and biological parameters (coliform bacteria, E. coli, enterococci, total microbial count). The full scope of monitoring and review parameters is defined by the Minister of Health regulation. The scope can be extended to include e.g. heavy metals, pesticides or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

Yes. We carry out accredited well water testing both as part of mandatory monitoring for workplaces and on request from private well owners. We tailor the scope to the purpose — a basic sanitary assessment or an extended analysis taking into account local conditions.
