Laboratory Subcontracting

Accredited subcontracting for other testing laboratories under PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 clause 6.6. Sample analysis, validated air sampling devices and chemical identification within the AB 934 scope.

Accredited Subcontracting for Other Testing Laboratories

OIKOS works directly with other testing laboratories — environmental, workplace hygiene and OSH labs — as a formal subcontractor under PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 clause 6.6. We provide sample analysis within our AB 934 accreditation scope, validated air sampling devices ready for field use and full documentation required for subcontractor qualification. Combined with our PT 010 proficiency testing organiser status, this gives ordering laboratories an independently verified competence basis for every result we deliver.

More than 150 laboratories across Poland

Our partner laboratory network spans Poland from Pomerania to the Subcarpathian region. OIKOS results are incorporated into accredited reports across occupational safety, environmental and workplace hygiene fields.

Most Frequently Subcontracted Parameters

Top analytes routinely subcontracted to OIKOS by partner laboratories, grouped by analytical method. Workplace air samples are the dominant matrix.

Method

Typical Analytes

Ion chromatography (IC)

Nitrogen dioxide, nitrogen monoxide, ammonia (sorbent tube-IC), hydrogen sulfide, sulfuric acid (VI) thoracic fraction

HPLC

Formaldehyde (HPLC-DNPH), 4,4′-methylenebis(phenyl isocyanate) (MDI) and other isocyanates, acrolein

MP-AES

Iron oxides (Fe), manganese and its compounds (Mn), nickel compounds (Ni), sodium hydroxide

Gas chromatography (GC-FID)

Acetone, xylene (isomer mixture), toluene, propan-2-ol (isopropanol)

Other

Crystalline silica, respirable fraction; chromium (VI) compounds

The list above presents typical parameters subcontracted to OIKOS by partner laboratories. The full analytical scope, along with reference documents is available on the Downloads page and in the current AB 934 Scope.

Beyond the Standard Scope

OIKOS offers analytical capabilities that are difficult to source elsewhere on the Polish market, including formamide, TETA (triethylenetetramine), DETA (diethylenetriamine), EDA (ethylenediamine) and diisocyanates (2,4’-MDI/2,2’-MDI, HMDI, NDI). If your analyte falls outside the table above or you are unsure whether a substance is within the AB 934 scope, contact us for a feasibility check.

Four Subcontracting Services

Choose the service area that matches your laboratory’s need. Each page details the AB 934 accreditation coverage, deliverables, and order procedure.

Submitted Sample Analysis

Analysis of air samples, emission gases samples, ambient air, air samples from rooms provided by your laboratory, within the scope of AB 934 accreditation, with a formal chain of custody.

Air Sampling Devices

Validated air sampling devices (filters, sorbent tubes, absorption solutions). Ordering laboratories do not need to perform blank sample or recovery tests.

Chemical Identification

Qualitative and quantitative identification of unknown chemical substances by GC, GC/MS, HPLC, and UV/VIS or IR spectrophotometry.

Laboratory Documents

Complete document library for download: terms of service, sample collection and transport instructions, and 31 sampler operating manuals.

What We Provide to Ordering Laboratories

Four service areas designed for laboratory peers — with the documentation, chain of custody and method transparency that quality systems require:

Validated Samplers and a Subcontractor You Can Audit

Our air sampling devices — filters, sorbent tubes, absorption solutions — are validated for the analytical methods we use. This means that when an ordering laboratory commissions both sampling devices and analysis from OIKOS, the laboratory does not need to perform its own blank sample checks or recovery tests. The validation documentation and chain of custody are provided with every shipment, directly reducing the documentation burden in your quality system. Sampler orders are accepted at probniki@oikoslab.pl until 10:00 on business days; no shipping on Fridays or days preceding Polish public holidays.

For subcontractor qualification, we provide the AB 934 accreditation certificate, the full accreditation scope document (PL and EN), and the PT 010 certificate documenting our proficiency testing organiser status. These constitute the documentation required by PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 clause 6.6 and are sufficient for inclusion of OIKOS as a qualified subcontractor in your management system. The current scope is also available for download from the Polish Centre for Accreditation website (www.pca.gov.pl) for verification during PCA audits.

Methods & Instruments

Methods

Full analytical scope of AB 934 accreditation: ion chromatography (IC-CD, IC-AD), high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC-FLD, HPLC-UV), gas chromatography (GC-FID), atomic emission spectrometry (MP-AES), gravimetry, IR spectrometry, spectrophotometry. Chemical identification and analysis of air, stack gas.

Instruments

GC and HPLC chromatographs, MP-AES, validated personal samplers (MCE/PTFE/quartz filters, sorbent tubes, absorption solutions), sampling pumps and flow calibrators. In our daily work, we use equipment from the best suppliers (including Agilent, Shimadzu, Metrohm).

FAQ

Subcontracting Questions

Yes. OIKOS acts as an accredited subcontractor within the meaning of PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 clause 6.6. The AB 934 accreditation certificate and accreditation scope document constitute the documentation required for subcontractor qualification by an ordering laboratory. We also provide our PT 010 proficiency testing organiser certificate as additional evidence of competence.

Our samplers are validated specifically for the analytical methods used by OIKOS within the AB 934 scope. When sampling and analysis are both ordered from OIKOS, the validation chain is complete and no blank samples or recovery tests are required. If you intend to use the samplers with another laboratory’s methods, compatibility must be assessed by the ordering laboratory beforehand.

Yes, but with an important note: chemical identification analyses are performed outside the routine AB 934 accreditation scope and do not carry accredited status. They are non-routine analyses for clients who need a specific analytical question answered, using GC, GC/MS, HPLC, UV/VIS and IR spectrophotometry. These results should not be used for conformity assessment in legally regulated areas.

For subcontracting agreements, contract questions and laboratory cooperation matters, contact our laboratory department at sekretariat@oikoslab.pl. For sampler orders specifically, use probniki@oikoslab.pl. We respond to qualification document requests within two business days.
